Job summary

Jamestown LP is seeking a Director of Event Programming & Operations for One Times Square in New York. The role owns building event programming, master calendar, and P&L, coordinating Sales, Guest Experience, and Property Management to deliver high-profile activations.

The position requires leading the events team, managing budgets, and ensuring safe, on-brand, and profitable outcomes across multiple spaces, with a heavy emphasis on coordination and execution.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in event programming, event operations, venue management, hospitality, or commercial real estate event programming, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience setting programming strategy and managing a master calendar across multiple spaces and working groups.
• Experience owning and managing event or departmental P&L and budgets, including forecasting, cost control, and variance reporting.
• Experience working in a handoff-based model alongside dedicated sales teams, including setting, tracking, and reporting on sales goals and KPIs.
• Demonstrated experience building or scaling event processes, SOPs, and operational documentation.
• Working knowledge of COI requirements, insurance terminology, and risk mitigation.
• Strong understanding of load-in and load-out logistics, vendor management, and building operations.

Responsibilities

• Own event programming for all spaces, setting annual and seasonal strategy and placement of activations.
• Own and manage all activity within the building's spaces, scheduling dates and locations per priorities and brand.
• Evaluate proposed events for fit, feasibility, and profitability; adjust dates, spaces, or scope.
• Identify open dates and share plans with sales teams to fill the calendar strategically.
• Own the master calendar and ensure no conflicts with maintenance or tenant needs.
• Own the execution of events and serve as the client’s primary operational contact from contract to close-out.
• Manage COIs, risk, and post-event documentation and SOPs.
