Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking an events-focused team member to assist with planning and executing DSG-led events, including budgeting, staffing, and compliance. You will collaborate with the Community Leadership team to deliver engaging programs for local communities and athletes.

You will become the go-to expert on event space configurations, coordinate entertainment, and ensure a safe, high-quality athlete experience across store events and seasonal activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1-3 years of experience in a related role is preferred.
• At least 2 years of customer service experience is preferred.
• Previous experience in event planning, including profit and non-profit contexts, is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning all DSG-led events, including cost planning, ROI analysis, staffing coverage, internal and external communication, and execution.
• Become an expert on event space capabilities and configurations and recommend setups based on availability.
• Work with Community & Events Manager to ensure events stay within budget and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Create event documentation such as Run of Show, Event Recaps, Emergency Information card, and Rental Agreements.
• Oversee the event experience and guide athletes to participate safely.
• Lead reservations scheduling and manage field events and related equipment.
• Coordinate event entertainment, including music and guest speakers, where applicable.
• Maintain cleanliness and equipment for store events and related venues.
• Mentor and train teammates on procedures and programs, providing timely feedback.
