Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking an Event Associate to support in-store sport events and related camps. You will provide product recommendations tailored to each athlete’s skill level and assist the Field Lead/Coach with field programming and events.

You will build relationships with local schools and community groups, helping to run clinics and after-school programs while delivering exceptional customer service and training teammates to achieve the store’s vision.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of customer service experience preferred.
• Customer-service oriented.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide thoughtful product recommendations to athletes of varying skill levels.
• Assist Field Lead/Coach with field programming and guiding athletes to participate safely.
• Build relationships with local schools, community organizations, and sports leagues for partnerships and events.
• Collaborate with Community Team to bring camps, clinics, and after-school programming to the Field.
• Support teammate training and coaching to deliver the store vision and experience.
• Adjust priorities and manage time in a fast-paced environment.
• Adhere to loss prevention standards.
• Promote warranty programs, loyalty Scorecard, private-label credit cards, and seasonal promotions.
• Provide consultative product knowledge and expert guidance to athletes.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
