Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking an events-focused team member to help plan and execute in-store and community events. You will work with a Community Leadership team to manage cost planning, staffing, and communications for successful events, from setup to teardown.

You will become the go-to expert on event spaces, determine optimal configurations, and ensure programs stay within budget while identifying efficiencies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years experience.
• At least 2 years of customer service experience preferred.
• Previous experience in event planning is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning all DSG-led events, including cost planning, ROI analysis, staffing coverage, and compliance.
• Become an expert on event space capabilities and recommend setups.
• Work with Community & Events Manager to ensure events stay within budget and identify cost savings.
• Create Run of Show, Event Recaps, Emergency Information cards and Rental Agreements.
• Oversee event experience and guide athletes to participate safely.
• Lead reservations scheduling and monitor the scheduling tool.
• Coordinate field events equipment, referees, and venue maintenance as applicable.
• Coordinate event entertainment, including music and guest speakers.
• Maintain cleanliness and equipment needs for store events.
