Job summary

DickS Sporting Goods is seeking an Event Coordinator to plan and execute store-led events, coordinate community partnerships, and ensure a high-quality athlete experience. You will manage budgets, staffing, and communications to deliver engaging, safe events that align with brand standards.

The role requires hands-on event planning experience, strong customer service skills, and the ability to collaborate with local schools and vendors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience.
• At least 2 years of customer service experience preferred.
• Previous event planning experience; mix of profit & non-profit is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning all DSG-led events, including cost planning, ROI analysis, staffing coverage, internal and external communication, and event day-of execution.
• Become an expert on all event space capabilities; advise on configurations and capacities for each event type.
• Work with Community & Events Manager to ensure events stay within budget and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Create event documentation: Run of Show, Event Recaps, Emergency Information card, and Rental Agreements.
• Oversee the event experience and guide athletes to participate safely.
• Lead and monitor reservations scheduling tool for events.
• Coordinate field events, hiring referees, equipment maintenance, and rink maintenance as applicable.
• Arrange event entertainment, including music, guest speakers, etc.
