Job summary

American Nurses Enterprise (ANE) is seeking a Senior Director, Procurement to lead the enterprise-wide procurement function and build a high-performing team in Silver Spring, MD. The role reports to the CFO and will shape strategy, governance, and capabilities to optimize spend, strengthen supplier performance, and advance strategic sourcing.

As the founding leader, you will design scalable processes, staffing models, and operating frameworks, partnering with Finance, Legal, IT, and business

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, procurement, economics, finance, law, or a related discipline.
• At least 15 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field, including at least five years in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management, supplier governance, and commercial risk.
• Experience partnering with Legal, Finance, IT, and other senior leaders.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an enterprise-wide procurement strategy aligned with organizational priorities, financial objectives, risk appetite, and long-term plans.
• Establish the Procurement function and determine structure, staffing, and leadership; recruit and mentor the team.
• Design and establish the enterprise procurement operating model, policies, standards, and governance.
• Serve as principal procurement advisor to CFO and executives on sourcing strategy and major procurement decisions.
• Establish KPIs and executive reporting for spend visibility, supplier performance, and cost savings.
