Job summary

The American Nurses Enterprise (ANE) seeks a Senior Director, Procurement in Silver Spring, MD to establish and lead an enterprise-wide procurement function, shaping strategy, governance, and capability.

You will partner with Finance, Legal, IT and business leaders to optimize spend, negotiate major contracts, and develop a high-performing team that delivers value, risk management, and transparency. This leadership role demands strategic insight and executive communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, procurement, economics, finance, law, or a related discipline.
• At least 15 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field, including at least five years in a leadership role.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience partnering with Legal, Finance, IT, and other senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an enterprise-wide procurement strategy aligned with priorities and financial objectives.
• Lead the end-to-end enterprise procurement lifecycle from demand planning to close-out.
• Establish procurement governance, processes, and KPIs; provide executive reporting.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, IT and other stakeholders to align procurement with budgets and risk requirements.
• Build a high-performing Procurement organization and foster a culture of accountability and collaboration.
