Job summary

U.S. Soccer is seeking a Director of Learning & Development to design, build, and execute a comprehensive enterprise-wide learning strategy that drives capability development and leadership effectiveness.

You will partner with senior leadership to strengthen leadership pipelines and embed a culture of continuous learning across the organization. The role oversees the full lifecycle of learning—from needs assessment to program design, delivery, and measurement—ensuring alignment with business

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in Learning & Development or related.
• Proven success building enterprise L&D strategies.
• Experience designing leadership development programs, including executive-level initiatives.
• Strong competency modeling and skills framework experience.
• Ability to influence senior executives.
• General knowledge of soccer.
• Capable of working in fast-paced environments.
• Proficient experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute enterprise L&D strategy aligned with business priorities.
• Lead leadership development frameworks for all levels, including executive coaching.
• Build and maintain competency framework and skills taxonomy.
• Oversee program design across formats (live, virtual, digital, blended).
• Manage budget, vendor relationships, and L&D operations.
• Partner with HR and business leaders to address capability gaps.
