Job summary

Barber National Institute in Philadelphia, PA, seeks a Director, Learning & Development to lead enterprise learning strategy and align programs with our mission to support person-centered services.

You will oversee governance, measurement, and continuous improvement, partner with senior leaders, travel between locations, and ensure compliance and workforce readiness. The role requires a robust background and education; CPTD/SHRM certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Eight years in L&D with four years in leadership.
• Experience with enterprise learning programs in regulated org preferred.
• Experience supervising L&D professionals.
• CPTD/APTD/SHRM certifications preferred.
• Travel may be required occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Establish enterprise L&D priorities, standards, and measurable outcomes.
• Lead development of orientation, onboarding, required learning, role-specific competencies, and leadership programs.
• Coach and develop the L&D leadership team while managing resources.
• Establish standards for instructional design, learning tech, and quality across sites.
• Oversee processes for learning compliance, tracking, reporting, and readiness.
• Manage budgets, vendors, and technology investments for L&D.
