Job summary

Bank of Montreal is seeking a hands-on, senior leader to own the core governance and control plane for a enterprise AI platform. You will architect and operate the gateway, policy engine, identity fabric, AI registry, and guardrails runtime at scale, partnering across Security, Architecture, DevOps, and domain teams.

You will lead a team that builds and operates platform capabilities with regulatory defensibility from day one, ensuring secure, compliant, and observable AI workloads

Qualifications

8+ years in technical platform, infrastructure, or AI/ML engineering roles in a large enterprise.
Proven organizational leadership: building and scaling engineering teams, workforce planning, and squad structuring.
Strong mentoring and coaching to grow engineers and technical leads.

Responsibilities

Own the enterprise control plane and governed AI platform infrastructure.
Lead the design, build, and operation of policy-as-code and governance components.
Partner with Security, Architecture, DevOps, and domain teams to ensure operability and regulatory defensibility.
