Job summary
Bank of Montreal is seeking a Principal/Senior Engineer to design, build and operate enterprise AI platform capabilities across AWS and Azure, including the AI Gateway, Policy Engine, and Observability. You will own end-to-end platform components, ensure on-call readiness, and produce runtime evidence for regulatory reviews in a large, regulated financial services environment.
You will mentor teams, drive security, identity, and governance, implement policy-as-code, and advance the guardrails
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Experience operating production infrastructure with SLOs and on-call ownership.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and operate production platform capabilities end to end.
- Build APIs, interfaces, and integrations for domain teams and enterprise systems.
- Implement policy enforcement, guardrails, identity attestation, and audit as core engineering concerns.
