Job summary

BMO Harris Bank is seeking a Director of Enterprise AI Platform Engineering to own and operate the secure, governed platform infrastructure for enterprise AI workloads. You will lead a hands-on team delivering a federated AI Registry, policy-as-code, and robust observability while partnering with Security, Architecture, DevOps, and domain squads.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in technical platform, infrastructure, or AI/ML engineering in a large enterprise.
• 4+ years leading and managing engineering teams.
• Proven organizational leadership: scaling teams and workforce planning.
• Mentoring track record: developing engineers and tech leads.
• Executive communication across technical and senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise control plane: Developer Portal & AI Registry, Policy Engine, Observability & Audit, Governance & Lifecycle.
• Oversee Domain Orchestration: Gateway Runtime, Guardrails Runtime, Identity Fabric.
• Deliver in 12 months: scalable portal, AI Gateway in domain, policy-as-code distribution, runtime evidence pipeline.
• Build and run model: operate what you build with operability from day one.
• Lead multi-cloud, multi-domain, zero-trust security and regulatory compliance.
