Job summary

Hanwha Defense USA in Arlington, VA seeks a Director of Enterprise AI Business Applications to own and scale the internal AI-enabled application portfolio. You will lead the internal application team, serve as product owner for self-built apps, manage SaaS and on-premise solutions, and set the technical standard for the portfolio.

This build role requires strong software fundamentals, architectural decision-making, accountability in production, mentoring, and hands-on delivery.

Qualifications

• Software engineering background with real depth and production responsibility.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including leading others.
• Experience owning third-party apps and internal platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own the full portfolio of enterprise applications, internally built and externally sourced, across their lifecycle.
• Serve as escalation point for application issues and drive resolution.
• Evaluate, integrate, and manage SaaS and on-premise platforms; own vendor relationships and licensing.
• Maintain a clear view of what is run, costs, ownership, data, and connections.
• Demonstrate ROI understanding and deploy it across the ecosystem to show tangible value.
