Job summary

Benchling in San Francisco seeks a leader to own the Enterprise Applications portfolio and drive AI-enabled, scalable tech across the SaaS stack. You’ll govern CRM, ERP, HRIS, and the integration layer with strong demand management and vendor discipline.

You’ll partner with Finance, RevOps, Sales, CX, People and Legal to deliver SOX-ready controls, self-service automation, and a platform that scales while embedding AI where it adds real value.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in enterprise or business applications.
• 5+ years leading teams in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Owned a multi‑platform SaaS portfolio including CRM, ERP and HRIS.
• Deep Salesforce experience with pricing/packaging and CPQ/RevCloud.
• Hands-on with an integration platform and a vision for an integration practice.
• Measurable automation outcomes and self-service adoption.
• Experience applying AI to enterprise app work and influencing business outcomes.
• Built internal self-service reducing request volume.
• Experience designing SOX IT general controls and audit readiness.
• Proven ability to stabilize programs mid-flight and manage vendor relationships.
• Clear written communication with non-technical audiences.
• Curiosity about life science is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the portfolio and the architecture; set target-state SaaS portfolio and data-flow patterns.
• Lead programs across quote-to-cash, pricing and packaging, and consumption billing with clear milestones.
• Automate and streamline delivery; reduce manual work and improve throughput and quality per person.
• Embed AI into workflows with the AI and Data Engineering team where it adds real value.
• Expand self-service across Finance, GTM, People, Legal, and CX; implement guardrails and in-product help.
• Design and operate IT controls for financial data; collaborate with auditors and compliance.
• Grow the team and contractor bench; balance full-time and contract resources.
• Partner with Finance, RevOps, Sales, CX, People, and Legal on roadmaps and process changes.
