Job summary

Vida is seeking a Sr. Director of Engineering Operations & Security to lead the organization responsible for how Vida builds, ships, secures, and operates from test to deployment across cloud infrastructure and IT estate.

You will own the security program, incident response, and data operations with executive visibility and stakeholder collaboration. You will guide a team through automation, IaC, and CI/CD improvements while maintaining strong SLAs with customers and regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required.
• 10+ years in software engineering with 4+ years leading multiple teams.
• Direct ownership of DevOps/SRE/platform/engineering operations at scale (CI/CD, IaC, cloud).
• Experience with customer-facing production operations and SLAs.
• Proven incident management leadership and on-call experience.
• Experience in regulated environments (HIPAA, SOC 2, HITRUST, PCI).
• Ability to restructure an inherited team and drive change across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Own test strategy, CI/CD, IaC, cloud platform, and developer environments.
• Set quality gates and deployment practices to speed delivery without breakage.
• Improve developer productivity, reliability, and time to recovery.
• Own corporate IT, IAM, endpoint management, SaaS, and vendor security.
• Act as Vida's Security Officer with policy, risk, awareness, and incident response ownership.
• Lead executive communications for security diligence, audits, and questionnaires.
• Build and execute the security roadmap and staffing needs.
• Oversee data operations and end-to-end data feed reliability and automation.
• Manage Tier 2/3 escalations with CS leadership, ensuring solid SLAs.
