Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking a proven VP of Engineering & Operations in Wall Township, NJ to drive execution and technical excellence across engineering and operations. You will lead teams, define KPIs, and ensure products move efficiently from development through commercialization.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in engineering/manufacturing/operations, a strong Lean/Six Sigma foundation, and a track record of growing technology-driven companies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
• 10+ years in engineering, manufacturing, or operations environments.
• 5+ years leading engineering, manufacturing, quality, or operations teams.
• Proven success in leading small tech-driven companies through early-stage commercialization and scale-up.
• Strong technical foundation across engineering disciplines (mechanical, process, chemical, production, quality, industrial, electrical, electronics, materials).
• Experience installing KPIs and driving operational excellence.
• Expertise in Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and execution skills in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead all Engineering and Operations functions, fostering accountability, urgency, and continuous improvement.
• Establish KPIs, metrics, and processes to enhance predictability and performance.
• Drive design for manufacturability and lean production practices to ensure scalability.
• Oversee stage-gate and go/no-go frameworks for development and commercialization.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to validate requirements, feasibility, and timelines.
• Hire, mentor, and develop high-performing teams, instilling engineering mindset and operational rigor.
• Recommend capital investments and negotiate supplier contracts to support growth.
