Job summary

Moniepoint Inc. is expanding to Poland and seeks a seasoned Head of Engineering, Field Verification to lead the end-to-end platform that validates customers and businesses.

You will own the technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap, and build a lean team across backend, web, and mobile. This role demands hands-on leadership with 10+ years in software engineering and 5+ years guiding Engineering Managers, plus strong collaboration with Product and Compliance teams.

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with backend depth.
• 5+ years of engineering leadership, including managing Engineering Managers.

• Experience with location/geospatial data is a strong plus.
• Experience with route/trip or delivery optimisation is a strong plus.
• Experience with identity, KYC or verification platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical strategy, architecture and roadmap for the Field Verification platform end to end.
• Move the platform from keep-the-lights-on operation to deliberate development.
• Lead and grow the cross-functional team and expand the organization.
• Build the operational efficiency layer—trip/route optimization, task allocation and capacity management.
• Own the platform's client-facing surface: APIs and webhooks and the back office for units relying on it.
• Deliver a native mobile experience for field officers.
• Ensure verification data is structured, auditable and compliant.
• Plan for multi-country expansion as Moniepoint enters new markets.
• Partner with Product and business units—onboarding, loans, compliance and fraud.
• Define architecture standards, processes and metrics; hire and develop engineers and Engineering Managers.
