Job summary

Moniepoint is seeking a Head of Engineering for the POS Application Platform. You will own the technical strategy and architecture for our core POS platform and lead a team of engineers to ensure high standards across multiple devices. This role demands extensive experience in software engineering, especially with POS systems, and you'll play a critical role in our global expansion.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Experience leading engineering teams in growth phases.
• Direct experience on POS terminal devices.
• Strong understanding of EMV standards and payment processes.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical strategy and architecture for the POS Application Platform.
• Build and govern core platform pillars: developer experience, platform reliability, foundational frameworks.
• Define and enforce engineering standards across POS devices.
• Lead embedded POS engineers and set engineering quality standards.
• Ensure observability and incident response for platform health.
