Orb is seeking a Senior Engineering Leader to guide a ~30-person team responsible for critical billing and revenue infrastructure. You will set technical strategy, ensure real-time correctness at scale, and partner with GTM and Product to drive monetization. This role requires scrappy execution, ownership, and a track record of building durable leadership across offices.

You will work in a hybrid environment with in-person collaboration several days a week and international travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in engineering with leadership of engineering organizations.
• Infra- or platform-heavy background with distributed systems, data, and scale.
• Experience scaling teams and systems through growth and startup phases.
• Genuinely focused on billing and monetization; revenue infrastructure is key.
• Proven people leader who coached managers across multiple offices.
• Strong cross-functional partner with product and GTM to translate strategy into results.
• Bias toward lightweight, high-leverage processes; travel required.

Responsibilities

• Coach and grow engineering managers and senior ICs with clear growth paths.
• Build leadership bench and retention strategy as the team expands to multiple offices.
• Set and articulate technical strategy for correctness and scalability.
• Partner cross-functionally with GTM and Product to shape product and monetization.
• Establish foundations for growth with lightweight, scalable processes.
