Orb is seeking a Senior Engineering Leader to guide a ~30-person team in building scalable, correct infrastructure for a fast-growing revenue platform post-Adyen integration. You will own technical strategy, mentor managers, and partner with GTM and Product to align product and monetization goals.

You should have 10+ years in engineering, an infra/platform background, and a passion for billing and revenue systems. The role offers hybrid in SF and collaboration across multiple offices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in engineering with several years leading engineering organizations.
• Infra- or platform-heavy background with deep distributed systems experience and scaling
• Experience scaling teams and systems with a scrappy, early-stage mindset
• Genuine interest in billing and monetization, revenue infrastructure
• Proven people leader who has coached managers and developed senior ICs across offices
• Strong cross-functional partner who translates technical strategy into business results
• Preference for lightweight, high-leverage processes that scale

Responsibilities

• Coach and grow engineering managers and senior ICs with clear growth paths and career development.
• Build the engineering leadership bench and own talent/retention strategy as the team grows across offices.
• Set and articulate technical strategy; drive systems design for correctness and scale.
• Partner cross-functionally with GTM and Product to shape product, monetization, and competitiveness.
• Establish foundations for growth: lightweight, high-leverage processes that scale without slowing the team.
