Job summary

Komatsu is seeking a Senior Manager of Technical and Operator Training focused on Electric Drive Trucks. You will lead a distributed team, organize training schedules, and collaborate with customers and SME partners to expand delivery and curriculum for EDT products.

The role emphasizes technical credibility, people management, and building a roadmap for future curriculum development, with regional travel and stakeholder coordination. Strong leadership and program management are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in heavy construction or surface mining.
• Experience on electric drive trucks, shovels, drills, or electric wheel loaders.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, diagnostics, high/low voltage concepts.
• Experience developing/conducting technical training programs is preferred but not required.
• Management experience preferred but not required.
• Travel: <25% domestic and international travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a distributed team of training professionals supporting EDT and related products.
• Manage day-to-day team priorities, training schedules, workloads, travel coordination, and customer commitments.
• Partner with regional service teams, global accounts, and internal stakeholders to understand training needs.
• Coordinate training delivery for internal teams, regions, dealers, and customers, including global requests.
• Support rollout and execution of competency development programs tied to mining products and service skill expectations.
• Build and maintain training roadmaps identifying curriculum expansion and material updates.
• Visit regions and mine sites to observe training delivery and gather feedback.
• Promote the value of training across the organization and align with business needs.
• Support career development and succession planning within the training team.
• Oversee basic budget responsibilities.
• Create and deliver presentations showcasing the team's capabilities and impact.
