Job summary

Komatsu is seeking a Senior Manager of Technical and Operator Training to lead the EDT training program for electric drive trucks. You will manage instructors, coordinate course development, and ensure content stays current with product updates.

This leadership role centers on building scalable curricula, aligning with regional needs, and expanding training delivery across customers and regions. Expect collaboration with global teams and travel as required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in heavy construction or surface mining.
• Experience on electric drive trucks, shovels, drills, or electric wheel loaders.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, high voltage, low voltage diagnostics.
• Experience developing/conducting technical training programs is preferred but not required.
• Management experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a distributed team of technical and operator training professionals supporting EDT and related surface mining products.
• Manage day-to-day team priorities, training schedules, workloads, travel coordination, and customer commitments.
• Partner with regional service teams, global strategic accounts, major accounts, and internal stakeholders to understand training needs and ensure support.
• Coordinate technical and operator training delivery for internal teams, regions, dealers, and customers, including national and global requests.
• Support the rollout and execution of competency development programs tied to Komatsu mining products and service skill expectations.
• Build and maintain training roadmaps identifying curriculum expansion and material updates.
• Visit regions, branches, and mine sites to observe training delivery, gather feedback, and identify improvements.
• Promote and communicate the value of technical and operator training across the organization.
• Support career development and succession planning within the training team, including future workload growth and expansion.
• Oversee basic budget responsibilities.
• Create and deliver presentations showcasing the training team's capabilities and impact.
