Job summary

Komatsu seeks a Senior Manager of Technical and Operator Training focused on Electric Drive Trucks to lead a distributed team of instructors and content developers. You will oversee training strategy, scheduling, and customer-facing delivery across regions, ensuring curricula stay current with product updates.

The role emphasizes leadership, technical credibility in EDT equipment, and strong people management. Arizona is preferred, with openness to UT, NV, and WY based candidates.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in heavy construction or surface mining.
• Experience with electric drive trucks or related equipment is required.
• Experience developing technical training programs is preferred but not required.
• Management experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a distributed team of technical and operator training professionals.
• Manage day-to-day team priorities, training schedules, workloads, travel coordination, and customer commitments.
• Partner with regional service teams, global strategic accounts, major accounts, and internal stakeholders to understand training needs and ensure the appropriate support is provided.
• Coordinate technical and operator training delivery for internal teams, regions, dealers, and customers, including national and global training requests.
• Support the rollout and execution of competency development programs tied to Komatsu mining products and service skill expectations.
• Build and maintain training roadmaps that identify where the organization needs to expand curriculum, update materials, improve delivery, and support technician development.
• Visit regions, branches, and mine sites to observe training delivery, gather feedback, understand current customer environments, and identify areas for improvement.
• Help promote and communicate the value of technical and operator training across the organization so the team remains visible, utilized, and aligned with business needs.
