Job summary

Komatsu seeks a Senior Manager of Technical and Operator Training to lead a distributed team focused on EDT product training for surface mining equipment. You will shape delivery across regions, coordinate with subject matter experts, and drive curriculum development and competency initiatives.

Ideal candidates combine technical credibility with strong people management, stakeholder collaboration, and project leadership to expand training impact and align with product updates and customer needs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in heavy construction or surface mining.
• Experience with electric drive trucks/equipment is required.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting concepts.
• Experience developing training programs is preferred but not required.
• Management experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a distributed team of technical and operator training professionals.
• Manage day-to-day team priorities, training schedules, and commitments.
• Partner with regional and global stakeholders to assess training needs.
• Coordinate delivery of internal and external training for multiple regions.
• Support competency development programs tied to product updates.
• Build training roadmaps, update materials, and track progress.
• Observe training delivery and identify areas for improvement.
• Promote value of training and assist in succession planning.
