Job summary

Merck seeks a Director of Digital Tech Transfer & Knowledge Management to shape the future of digital manufacturing capabilities. You will define strategy, develop roadmaps, and lead a multi-disciplinary team to build and optimize PKM systems for transfer of process knowledge into manufacturing execution.

You will liaise with S&T, Research, Commercialization, and IT to translate business needs into scalable digital solutions, driving data integrity and compliant governance across the tech

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related field with extensive industry experience.
• Proven track record in product management or strategic leadership delivering data-intensive digital products.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and communicating with senior leaders and technical experts.
• Deep knowledge of biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes and related data/control systems (MES, DeltaV, PKM).
• Experience implementing AI solutions with governance and compliance controls.

Responsibilities

• Define the product vision and strategic roadmap for Digital Tech Transfer and PKM, aligned with business goals.
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of analysts, technology, and process specialists.
• Oversee end-to-end lifecycle of digital manufacturing products supporting tech transfer.
• Serve as liaison between S&T, Research, Commercialization, manufacturing, and IT for scalable digital solutions.
• Drive data integration across MES, LIMS, and process control systems for a cohesive PKM ecosystem.
• Champion data integrity and governance to ensure reliability and inspection readiness.
• Manage the product backlog, prioritize features by value, and report progress to executives.
• Ensure digital solutions adhere to GxP and internal quality standards.
• Collaborate with CMOs to digitize tech transfer and standardize data exchanges.
