Job summary

NHS Dumfries & Galloway is seeking an experienced IT Programme Manager to lead the Digital Technology Development Programme, delivering a complex portfolio of local and national digital initiatives in a regulated healthcare setting.

The postholder will provide strategic leadership across digital programmes, oversee benefits realisation, manage significant budgets, and collaborate with clinical, corporate, and national stakeholders to deliver safe, effective, and sustainable digital services.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex digital programmes in regulated environments.
• Strong governance, reporting and benefits realisation capabilities.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and govern the Digital Technology Development Programme with robust controls.
• Programme manage complex technical and business workstreams including system implementations.
• Oversee budgets, risks, dependencies and benefits realisation.
• Provide specialist digital and programme management advice to senior stakeholders.
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary programme team including PMs and POs.
• Represent NHS Dumfries & Galloway at regional and national digital forums.
