Job summary

NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a leader to head the Lanarkshire Data Sharing Partnership Team, driving secure information sharing across health, social care, local authorities, education, Police Scotland and third sector partners.

You will lead planning, project management and quality improvements across data sharing streams and work with local and national teams to enhance outcomes through data sharing solutions like the national Health and Social Care Record.

• Manage supplier/vendor relationships and reduce risk to core NHSL systems.

The Role

The post holder leads the Lanarkshire Data Sharing Partnership Team, drives secure information sharing across health, social care, local authorities, education, Police Scotland and third sector partners, and supports digital solutions that improve services across Lanarkshire

The Post Holder Will

• Provide day-to-day leadership of the Lanarkshire Data Sharing Partnership Team
• Use extensive knowledge and expertise of data/information sharing and information governance legislation, policy and guidance.
• Be a team player, committed to further developing the functions of the Lanarkshire Data Sharing Team.
• Support the priorities of the wider Digital Directorate.

The post holder will successfully manage, ensure availability, provide supplier/vendor management and reduce risk to the core system(s) within NHSL using service management best practice and methodology, i.e. ITIL, Prince etc.

In This Key Role, You Will

• Have a background and strong experience in data/information sharing and/information governance.
• Provide comprehensive planning, project management and quality/service improvement across a range of data and information sharing workstreams.
• Work with colleagues at local and national level to support the development of data sharing solutions to improve outcomes for the people who use our services, e.g. the national Health and Social Care Record.
• Support and deputise for the Business Services Manager with any additional business-related activities to ensure the delivery of the Directorate’s aims and objectives as required.

What You'll Bring

• Educated to degree level or equivalent with qualification in an Informatics / Information Technology or business-management field
• Post graduate expertise within the area of practice area that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently
• Comprehensive knowledge of the operation of core IT systems in use within NHS Lanarkshire
• Knowledge, acquired through experience, of the operation of clinical and non-clinical departments across all sectors of NHSL
• Knowledge of project management methodology.
• Knowledge of ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library).
