Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr Manager for PMT-ES, Design Systems within the AWS Applied AI Solutions group. You will own the design system vision, roadmap, and engineering direction, leading PMs, SDEs, MLEs, and frontend engineers with AAIS UX collaboration.

You will drive adoption, governance, and scalable patterns for human–AI interaction, evolving from existing components to AI-native interfaces and multi‑modal experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 8+ years of technical product management experience.
• 5+ years of people management experience.
• Deep expertise in design systems, front-end engineering, or developer experience platforms.
• Track record of shipping developer-facing SDKs, component libraries, or platform products.
• Strong technical fluency — able to make architecture decisions and review code with engineers and designers.
• Strong sense of craft and taste; willingness to invest for scalable, high‑quality experiences.

Responsibilities

• Own the product vision and roadmap for the design system across AAIS and partner teams.
• Lead cross‑functional teams of PMs, SDEs, MLEs, and front‑end engineers.
• Set adoption strategies and drive business outcomes for the design system.
• Collaborate with AAIS UX Design organization for design direction and feedback.
• Balance near‑term adoption with long‑term architectural bets.
• Create governance for prioritization, release cadence, and design-token management.
• Partner with design leadership to hire, develop, and retain talent.
• Shape long‑lead investments in AI-native interaction patterns and integrations.
