Job summary

AWS is seeking a single-threaded leader to own an agent-first design system end-to-end including product vision, roadmap, and engineering execution. You will lead PM, SDEs, MLEs, and frontend engineers, partnering with the AAIS UX Design organization for design direction and delivery outcomes.

The role emphasizes design obsession, cross-functional leadership, and a governance-driven approach to adoption, with a focus on building a scalable system across AAIS and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 8+ years of technical product management experience.
• 5+ years of people management experience with direct responsibility for hiring, performance management, and team development.
• Deep expertise in design systems, front-end engineering, or developer experience platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own the product vision and roadmap for the design system based on portfolio needs, customer feedback, and design research.
• Lead the 'Own It. Ship It. Together.' paired model of engineer + designer from day one.
• Drive platform adoption by releasing incrementally, validating with research, and generalizing proven solutions.
• Partner with the design leader to hire, steer, and develop the team with world-class talent.
• Set and maintain governance for prioritization, release cadence, documentation standards, and design-token management.
