Job summary

Forvis Mazars, LLP is seeking a Director of Data & Intelligence to lead Layer 1 data foundation, vector stores, knowledge graphs, and Zero-ETL pipelines. You will mentor engineers, shape architecture across data layers, and partner with AI architects to deliver agentic solutions.

You will drive governance, data sovereignty, and responsible AI guardrails while collaborating with cross-functional teams and clients to meet complex timelines.

Qualifications

• BS in data science, computer science or related field; MS preferred.
• 8+ years in data engineering/science with modern data architecture.
• 7+ years leading teams of professionals; consulting background preferred.
• Experience partnering with technical leaders to deliver integrated platforms.
• Experience deploying RAG architectures and MCP-based integrations.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction and standards for Layer 1 Data Foundation.
• Coach and mentor Data & Intelligence Engineers.
• Define solution architecture and handoffs across data layers.
• Contribute to Center of Excellence standards and tooling.
• Represent practice on ethics, governance, and guardrails.
• Architect and oversee vector stores, knowledge graphs, and Zero-ETL pipelines.
• Collaborate with clients and teams to meet project objectives.
