Job summary

Forvis Mazars, LLP is seeking a Director of Data & Intelligence to lead the AAI practice's Layer 1 Data Foundation. You will set technical direction, mentor engineers, and partner with AI Solutions Architects to shape end-to-end agentic delivery across data, reasoning, and validation.

The role requires 10% travel, EST business hours, and US residency. Experience with vector stores, knowledge graphs, MCP connectors, and Zero-ETL pipelines is essential, along with strong SQL, Python, and cloud

Qualifications

• BS in data science, computer science or related fields; MS strongly preferred.
• 8+ years in data engineering/science with modern data architecture (Zero-ETL, vector/graph DBs, semantic layers, RAG).
• 7+ years of team leadership, coaching, and delivery in a consulting environment preferred.
• Proven track record partnering with peer technical leaders to deliver integrated platforms.
• Experience deploying RAG architectures and MCP-based integrations in production.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Data & Intelligence Engineering discipline across the AAI practice.
• Coach and develop Data & Intelligence Engineers and partner with AI Architects.
• Define solution architecture and standards for MCP, evals, HITL across data layers.
• Contribute to Center of Excellence standards and cross-team knowledge sharing.
• Architect and oversee Data Foundation layer including vector stores and knowledge graphs.
