DataVisor Inc. seeks a Director of Engineering to lead the Platform Engineering team, shaping the AI-based fraud and risk decision platform built for real-time and batch workloads at enterprise scale.

You will mentor engineers, set technical direction, and drive execution with product, data science, and leadership. The role emphasizes architectural excellence, scalability, and a culture of ownership.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or related field; MS/PhD preferred.
• 10+ years software development experience with leadership roles.
• 5+ years managing teams, leading senior engineers or managers.
• Fluent in Java or C++, Python knowledge; strong system design background.
• Solid AI/ML knowledge (unsupervised, supervised); production ML experience preferred.
• Familiarity with AI systems incl. LLM-powered applications and agent-based design.
• Experience building AI-enabled products, data-intensive platforms, or ML infrastructure.
• Big data tech experience with Cassandra, Flink, Spark, Kafka.
• Knowledge of Spring Framework; strong collaboration and execution skills.

Responsibilities

• Define Strategy & Roadmap: set technical vision for Platform Engineering in line with priorities.
• Lead and grow a high-performing team of engineers and leaders.
• Architect and deliver a large-scale AI-based fraud and risk platform for real-time and batch decisioning.
• Drive innovation in fraud detection using unsupervised/supervised methods and agentic AI.
• Unify real-time and batch decisioning across the platform.
• Scale distributed, real-time data systems for low latency and reliability.
• Leverage Spark, Flink, Cassandra, Kafka for ML pipelines.
• Collaborate with product, infra, security, and exec teams.
• Establish rigorous engineering processes and high-quality development practices.
• Hire and develop talent fostering growth and ownership.
