Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield seeks a Director, Solutions Data Centers to lead the design and articulation of integrated facilities management for hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and AI/HPC data centers. You will shape staffing plans, operating models, and commercial constructs for complex client engagements.

The role emphasizes engineering solutioning, staffing, licensure, wage strategies, and go-to-market collaboration with Sales, HR, and Finance. Travel domestically is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field; equivalent military or trade progression considered.
• 10+ years facilities management, critical facilities operations, or engineering services, incl. 5+ years data center accountability.
• 5+ years FM solutions development, bid management, or senior ops with staffing/cost ownership.
• Experience building staffing models and defending them to clients.
• Working knowledge of data center infra: electrical, mechanical, BMS/EPMS, and fire life safety.
• Fluency in FM commercial models, SLA/KPI, and Excel modeling; strong written/verbal comms.
• Willingness to travel domestically (25–30%).

Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture for data center IFM pursuits across portfolios.
• Interrogate requirements and translate to operating model with staffing, pricing, and governance.
• Build labor models, org charts, span of control, and scope matrices.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, HR, Procurement, Finance, Legal, and Tech to form an integrated solution.
• Draft technical responses: staffing plan, mobilization, transition plan, tech stack, governance, risk, and exclusions.
• Lead workshops, site walks, due diligence, and client- orals; defend approach to leadership.
• Conduct win/loss reviews; update assets, libraries, and templates.
• Maintain library of solution components: role profiles, coverage models, staffing ratios.
• Design the engineering operating model: on-site teams, 24x7 coverage, remote ops, vendor models.
• Define maintenance program: MV/LV, UPS, generators, chillers, BMS/EPMS, fire safety.
