Job summary

Generate Capital is seeking a Director of Engineering to serve as the technical authority for data centre on-site power solutions from development through delivery. You will lead multi-project engineering, set standards, and guide risk assessment to enable scalable, reliable power infrastructure.

You will work with development, procurement, and project management teams to ensure designs translate into construction and long-term operations, while balancing innovation with execution discipline.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience engineering power generation projects.
• Experience designing and delivering utility-scale or large-load power projects.
• Familiarity with EPC and design-build delivery models.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical authority for development-phase engineering of data centre on-site power solutions through Notice to Proceed.
• Evaluate technical feasibility and risk for proposed customer solutions and Generate investments.
• Standardize development-engineering procedures and design details across the portfolio.
• Coordinate engineering interfaces between EPC/EPCM contractors, OEMs and internal stakeholders.
• Support commissioning and startup activities with technical guidance.
