Job summary

Quality Technology Services, LLC is seeking a Director of Electrical Engineering to lead the electrical design for mission‑critical data center projects across multiple regions. You will provide technical direction, mentorship, and ensure designs meet industry standards while aligning with business goals.

The role requires deep expertise in data center electrical systems, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate with Development, Construction, and Operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years in electrical engineering design for mission-critical facilities.
• Strong leadership and ability to communicate with senior leaders.
• Experience designing electrical systems for data centers or large facilities.
• PM experience on large, complex programs and travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Lead Electrical Engineering team with technical direction and mentoring.
• Oversee design activities across multiple projects and regions.
• Develop electrical design solutions aligned with business goals.
• Review and approve designs ensuring codes and standards compliance.
• Partner with Development, Construction, and Operations teams.
• Identify risks and drive issue resolution for project execution.
• Define scopes of work and support procurement and cost estimating.
• Coordinate with vendors on equipment specs and selection.
• Present design updates to executive leadership.
• Support due diligence for new sites and opportunities.
• Collaborate with Sales Engineers on custom solutions.
• Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
