Job summary

Hydrogen Group in Florida is seeking an experienced Project Engineer - Data Center to lead delivery of complex data center power and infrastructure projects from due diligence through completion.

You will coordinate internal engineering teams and external consultants, ensure technical quality, schedule adherence, and risk management, and provide engineering recommendations across electrical, mechanical, civil disciplines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required.
• 8+ years of relevant engineering experience preferred.
• Experience supporting infrastructure, power, or mission-critical projects preferred.
• Data center and/or power delivery experience strongly preferred.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities.
• Demonstrated experience managing internal engineering teams and external consultants.
• Strong project management, technical problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer - Data Center to support the delivery of complex data center power and infrastructure projects. This role will manage technical aspects of projects from initial due diligence through project completion, providing engineering leadership and coordinating multidisciplinary resources throughout the project lifecycle.

Working across internal engineering teams, subject matter experts, project stakeholders, and external engineering partners, the Project Engineer will help ensure projects are delivered to a consistently high technical standard, on schedule, and in accordance with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage technical and engineering activities for data center power projects from due diligence through project completion.
• Provide technical leadership throughout project development and execution.
• Coordinate internal engineering resources and subject matter experts across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Manage external engineering consultants, resources, deliverables, schedules, and technical requirements.
• Review engineering documentation and deliverables to ensure quality, completeness, and alignment with project requirements.
• Support internal project stakeholders by resolving technical issues and providing engineering recommendations.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities across electrical, mechanical, civil, and related disciplines.
• Identify and resolve complex technical issues that could affect project scope, schedule, cost, or execution.
• Make engineering recommendations that may have a significant impact on major project activities.
• Support standardized engineering processes and consistent project delivery across the data center portfolio.
• Work closely with project management and engineering leadership to maintain timely delivery of technical milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required, such as Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or a related engineering discipline.
• 8+ years of relevant engineering experience preferred.
• Engineering and project management experience supporting infrastructure, power, or mission-critical projects preferred.
• Data center and/or power delivery experience strongly preferred.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities.
• Demonstrated experience managing internal engineering teams and external engineering consultants or contractors.
• Strong project management, technical problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholder groups.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to coordinate resources across complex projects.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced project environment.

Preferred Background

Candidates with experience supporting data centers, mission-critical facilities, electric power infrastructure, utility projects, power delivery, or large-scale infrastructure development will be particularly well suited to this position.
