Job summary

Keel Infrastructure seeks a Director, Data Center Electrical Engineering in New York City to define and advance electrical standards across data center projects. This role leads a team and coordinates with mechanical, commissioning, construction, and procurement to ensure reliable, scalable power systems.

You will oversee power distribution, backup power, and BESS strategies to support high-density AI workloads, driving ongoing improvements in PUE and reliability.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience.
• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering required; PE license strongly preferred.
• Experience leading electrical design for hyperscale data centers or enterprise projects.
• Experience as a technical owner or discipline lead on large capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own electrical design standards for all data center projects.
• Lead electrical review of EOR packages and NEC/NFPA compliance.
• Oversee single-line diagrams, load schedules, and system architectures.
• Lead value engineering balancing cost, reliability, and schedule.
• Mentor staff and manage external consultants.
• Coordinate with commissioning to ensure testability and handover.
