Job summary

Lambda, The Superintelligence Cloud, is seeking a senior leader to build and guide a team of category managers for datacenter infrastructure equipment. You will own the long-term strategy, secure critical supply, and drive end-to-end sourcing, from RFI/RFP to contract execution, partnering with Legal and Finance on favorable terms.

You will lead cross-functional alignment with Design, Engineering, Construction, and Development, and deliver cost reductions through should-cost and TCO approaches

Qualifications

• 10+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management with leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Proven track record closing large master supply agreements and capacity commitments.
• Experience leading category strategies for high-spend, supply-constrained equipment.
• Ability to influence executives and drive governance standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of category managers across electrical, mechanical, and modular equipment.
• Own multi-year category strategy for datacenter infrastructure equipment and sourcing events.
• Secure supply in a constrained market, negotiate capacity commitments, and align with demand forecast.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing events from RFI to contract execution.
• Be Lambda's lead negotiator on high-value equipment agreements and terms with Legal/Finance.
• Standardize specifications with Design, Engineering, Construction, and Development.
• Sequence awards and deliveries against live construction schedules and manage expediting.
• Own owner-furnished vs. contractor-furnished equipment strategy and interfaces.
• Deliver cost reductions through should-cost, TCO models, design-to-cost, and VE.
• Build partnerships with OEMs and suppliers to reduce concentration risk.
• Manage supplier performance via scorecards, audits, and reviews.
• Identify supply risks and maintain contingency plans.
• Set governance standards for contracts, templates, spend, and data.
• Provide executive briefings on strategy, market conditions, and savings.
