Job summary

Genworth is seeking a Senior Director, Data and Actuarial Technology to lead strategy, modernization, and delivery of data platforms, analytics, and actuarial tooling. The role partners with executives to drive cloud adoption, data governance, and scalable architectures across the enterprise.

You will build and lead a high-performing team, manage budgets and vendors, and influence decision-making. Travel ~25% is expected as part of global initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS/Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive technology leadership across enterprise platforms.
• Deep expertise in Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Azure, data engineering, BI and analytics tools.
• Proven success modernizing mission-critical platforms and leading enterprise-scale data/analytics transformations.
• Experience defining multi-year roadmaps, operating models, and budgets.
• Experience leading actuarial technology capabilities or collaborating with actuarial teams.
• Experience in regulated environments with data governance, audits, and controls.
• Executive-level communication, collaboration, and influence skills.
• Willingness to travel ~25%.

• Advance governed data products, lineages, and AI-ready analytics.
• Establish secure, scalable architecture with governance and DR.

• Build a diverse, high-performing organization with talent development.
• Communicate strategy, risks, and business value to executives.
• Champion innovation and modern engineering practices across teams.
