Genworth Financial, Inc. is seeking a Senior Director of Data and Actuarial Technology in Richmond, VA. This leadership role directs strategy, modernization, and delivery of technology supporting actuarial modeling, data platforms, analytics, and regulatory processes.

You will partner with executives to translate priorities into roadmaps, ensure compliance, and drive value realization while fostering a high-performing team and transformative engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive technology leadership experience across complex enterprise platforms, delivery, operations, and modernization.
• Deep expertise in modern cloud data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), data engineering, BI and data visualization (PowerBI, Tableau).
• Experience modernizing complex, mission-critical platforms and leading enterprise-scale data/analytics transformations, including system integrations and legacy modernization.
• Executive-level communication, collaboration, and influence skills; ability to lead through ambiguity and drive accountability.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a multi-year Data and Actuarial Technology strategy, roadmap, and investment plan.
• Advance governed data products and platforms with quality, lineage, ownership, AI readiness, and self-service capabilities.
• Establish secure, resilient, scalable architecture with governance, data quality, controls, and disaster recovery.
• Partner with business leaders and IT to align roadmaps and manage dependencies.
• Own portfolio performance, budgets, vendors, contracts, and risk, with measurable value realization.
• Build and lead a diverse, high-performing organization with talent planning and accountability.
