Job summary

Volvo Trucks North America is seeking a senior product owner to lead driver coaching, compliance, and safety services for both internal combustion and battery electric trucks. You will drive strategy, roadmap, and customer value across connected services with partners and dealer networks, leveraging data analytics and AI to reduce fleet risk.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent (Master's preferred).
• 5-10 years experience in the heavy‑duty automotive, truck, or transportation industry working with customers delivering solutions, services or addressing their needs.
• Working knowledge of BEVs, plug‑in hybrids, and BEV platforms.
• Proven experience in dynamic environments and removing barriers to improve interactions and efficiency.
• Familiarity with business analytic tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the product owner for driver coaching, compliance & safety services for ICE and BEV vehicles.
• Develop strategy for telematics-based coaching and safety services across roadmaps and contracts.
• Own the connected safety product portfolio strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management.
• Develop integrated safety experiences across vehicle platforms, drivers, fleets, dealers, and partners.
• Translate vehicle and operational data into coaching, risk insights, and safety workflows.
• Evaluate and manage partnerships across telematics, ADAS suppliers, insurers, and analytics platforms.
• Define packaging, pricing, business cases, launch readiness, and adoption metrics.
• Understand BEV ecosystems and evolve fleet strategies for coaching and safety services.
• Represent fleet needs in cross-functional platforms for ICE and BEV delivery.
• Leverage analytics to build predictive models and automation across safety domains.
• Collaborate to test MVPs for safety in industry verticals and interface with technical teams.
• Define commercial requirements and use agile deployment for feature releases.
