Job summary

Benjamin Rose Institute seeks an experienced Senior Program Director to lead Community-Based Aging Services, including nutrition services, Rose-on-the-Go, senior centers, and Senior Companion programs, ensuring person-centered, high-quality delivery that supports independence and community connection.

The role oversees operations, staff performance, partnerships, compliance, and continuous improvement to meet organizational goals and advance the organization's aging services mission across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in gerontology, social work, healthcare administration, nonprofit management, or related field.
• Knowledge of community engagement strategies, outreach models, and approaches for delivering services in community-based settings.
• Knowledge of nutrition services, senior center operations, transportation programs, volunteer-based services, and social determinants of health.
• Skilled in supervising and developing staff, managing multiple programs, and fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
• Skilled in building partnerships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and aging network stakeholders.
• Ability to evaluate program effectiveness, identify improvement opportunities, and implement operational enhancements.
• Ability to communicate effectively lead change in a complex, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to expand community presence and engagement through innovative service delivery models, including mobile and community-based programming.
• Monitor program capacity, service utilization, productivity, and performance outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, strengthen service integration, and enhance client experience.
• Collaborate across departments to improve internal referral processes and promote a coordinated client experience.
• Oversee fleet operations supporting Meals on Wheels, including vehicle utilization and safety practices.
• Ensure programs are delivered consistently across locations while maintaining quality and regulatory standards.
