Job summary

Opportunity Builders, Inc. seeks an experienced manager to lead the Day Habilitation and CDS programs in Glen Burnie, MD.

You will supervise the Activities Coordinator and DSPs, ensuring a robust activity calendar across five domains for individuals we support. You will partner with the Activities Coordinator to craft monthly master calendars, coordinate community partnerships, and supervise staff to deliver high-quality services.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• At least 2 years of prior supervisory experience.
• High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Strong communication skills with a wide range of people including staff, individuals served and families.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, daily access to a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Interview, hire, and train qualified staff to provide quality supports to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Provide effective and respectful support and direct supervision to assigned staff.
• Serve as a role model for other staff, demonstrating appropriate participant interactions and customer service.
• Establish a system for monitoring staff duties to ensure completion and accuracy.
• Complete timely performance evaluations for employees under direct supervision.
• Effectively manage payroll and client management system software to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Provide coaching to assist Activities Coordinator in creating master monthly calendars.
• Ensure daily activity calendars include at least 5 domains: creativity, pre-employment/career exploration, fitness/movement, tranquility/sensory, life skills.
• Research community events and maintain partner/volunteer records.
• Develop new community relationships and connect individuals with resources.
