Job summary

Prealize Health is hiring a Senior Engineering Manager, Cloud Platform & DevSecOps to lead a remote team in the United States. You will own the security, reliability, and operations of our AWS serverless platform, guiding architecture and platform decisions for data science and engineering teams.

You will define cloud strategy, automate security and compliance, and foster a modern DevSecOps culture that scales with the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent
• 10+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, or Security Engineering
• Experience building or scaling cloud platforms in a fast-paced startup or high growth environment
• Deep experience designing and operating AWS cloud platforms with serverless architectures
• Strong Python scripting skills for automation and platform tooling
• Proven experience building secure CI/CD pipelines and embedding security into the software development lifecycle
• Experience implementing cloud security best practices, identity and access management, vulnerability management, and compliance automation
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner across Engineering, Security, Compliance, and executive leadership

Responsibilities

• Lead the DevSecOps Function: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing DevSecOps team while defining the technical roadmap for cloud infrastructure, security, and platform operations
• Own AWS Platform: Design, build, and operate scalable AWS serverless infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK or Terraform), ensuring high availability, resilience, and cost efficiency
• Build Secure Delivery Pipeline: Develop automated CI/CD pipelines with integrated security controls, including SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, secrets detection, and policy enforcement
• Drive Security and Compliance: Lead cloud security, vulnerability management, IAM, encryption, CSPM, and continuous compliance for HIPAA, HITRUST, and SOC 2
• Improve Operational Excellence: Improve platform reliability, observability, incident response, disaster recovery, and production readiness using AWS native services (AWS CloudWatch, X-Ray, CloudTrail, GuardDuty)
• Enable Data & AI Platforms: Build and secure the cloud infrastructure that supports large-scale data pipelines, AI/ML model training, and production inference
• Partner Across Engineering: Collaborate with Engineering, Data Science, Product, and Compliance teams to enable secure, reliable, and scalable software delivery
