Job summary

City of Hope seeks a visionary Vice President, Clinical Trial Operations (VP CTO) to lead clinical research across its national system. You will shape operational strategy, standardize workflows, and enhance patient access to high-quality trials.

Leading multidisciplinary teams, you will drive staffing, compliance, budgeting, and performance improvement, partnering with investigators, sponsors, and cancer center leadership to advance the trials enterprise.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of oncology clinical research experience.
• 15+ years of clinical trials management experience in an academic setting.
• Deep knowledge of FDA regulations, GCP, HIPAA, NCI CCSG guidelines, and clinical research operations.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary clinical research teams.
• Preferred: Lean, Six Sigma, PDCA, and performance improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee systemwide implementation of standardized workflows, technology integration, and operational processes.
• Build relationships with disease program leaders, PIs, sponsors, and leadership.
• Guide systemwide strategic planning, goal setting, reporting, and process alignment.
