Humana Inc. is seeking an AVP of Clinical Program and Product Strategy to define and scale cross-functional approaches that improve member outcomes and reduce costs.

The role sits at the intersection of clinical strategy, product, and operations and requires navigating ambiguity while driving enterprise-wide initiatives. The role leads a multidisciplinary team, partners across Humana’s enterprise, and reports to senior executives.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• 10+ years of strategy and operations development and implementation in healthcare.
• Clinical operations experience across payer and provider settings.
• Product experience leading multidisciplinary teams to build and scale programs.
• Strong business and/or consulting background; solid financial acumen.
• Experience with analytics and data usage.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to execute complex projects.
• Process improvement experience and ability to influence outcomes.
• Ability to align diverse groups around a shared vision with measurable results.

Responsibilities

• Define and advance enterprise-wide clinical strategies to improve health outcomes.
• Lead design, implementation, and scale of clinical programs and products from concept to launch.
• Oversee digital health partnerships, Stars strategies, and specialty care initiatives.
• Shape the evolution of integrated clinical products to meet member needs and control costs.
• Drive collaboration with business, clinical, analytics, engineering, and design teams.
• Coordinate with senior leaders to pursue high-value opportunities and synergies across functions.
• Develop cross-functional operating models and repeatable capabilities.
• Provide strategic updates to enterprise forums and senior decision-makers.
• Travel occasionally for training or meetings; remote work flexibility.
