Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Lead Director of Clinical AI to steer enterprise AI strategy and build a production-grade clinical AI platform. You will manage data scientists across squads, partner with product and engineering, and ensure responsible AI practices align with regulatory policies.

This is a senior leadership role at CVS Health in New York, focused on scalable, ethical, and impactful AI. You will drive the portfolio's capabilities, set clear technical goals, and lead talent development

Qualifications

10+ years of analytics, data science, or AI with hands-on ML/DL deployment, incl. NLP/LLMs.
5+ years setting AI/ML direction across multiple teams.
5+ years of people management experience hiring and developing tech teams.
Experience delivering healthcare AI analytics to production at enterprise scale with clinical/claims data.
Deep experience in production ML lifecycle: evaluation, monitoring, lifecycle mgmt, cost/latency/reliability tradeoffs.
Experience working within healthcare regulatory and responsible AI constraints (HIPAA/NCQA).
Fluent in Python and SQL; able to guide code and model work.
Strong communication to peers and executives.

Accelerate time-to-market for new AI capabilities via reusable patterns.
Directly manage and develop data science teams across squads.
Hire, coach, and retain top clinical AI talent.
