Job summary

CNA Insurance is seeking an AVP of Claims Recovery to lead a high-visibility team of more than 25 claims professionals. You will set strategic direction, oversee recovery training and development, and drive key objectives across the Claims organization in a role that influences performance.

This position offers a flexible hybrid work schedule and may be based in listed CNA office locations. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years in claims with 5 years in management, strong leadership,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with Master's preferred in finance, business or related field or equivalent.
• Typically a minimum of 10 years claims experience, with five years management experience.
• Experience leading leaders strongly preferred.
• Applicable certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements strategic and operational objectives with substantial impact on the short-term success of the recovery claims operations and drives for superior results.
• Leads, directs and has full management accountability for staff in area of responsibility with an emphasis on optimizing talent and succession planning in accordance with corporate strategic direction.
• Manages enterprise wide planning, organizing and leading of all recovery claim programs, metrics, processes, results and initiatives.
• Analyzes and manages workflow and staffing to drive increased efficiency and productivity. Acts as liaison to senior management.
• Technical oversight of high exposure recovery claims to ensure files are investigated, evaluated and managed in a timely manner.
• Drives continuous improvement within scope of responsibility through initiatives, mobilizing others to deliver results. Includes identifying emerging issues and trends through information analysis and use of technological resources.
• Reports on recovery trends and exposures to both internal and external business partners.
• Coordinates with underwriting, legal, staff counsel, and actuarial to ensure knowledge sharing on market trends, legal climate and loss recovery opportunities.
