Job summary

Atwell, LLC, based in Sarasota, FL, seeks a Director of Civil Engineering for Land Development to lead regional strategy and drive successful land development projects from concept to delivery.

You will mentor a talented team of engineers, oversee budgets and schedules, and develop strategic client relationships to secure new work while expanding our market presence in the real estate and land development sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum 15 years of civil engineering experience focusing on land development.
• Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of civil engineers and support staff.
• Develop regional strategies to drive growth and profitability in the land development market.
• Oversee planning, design, and execution of land development projects, ensuring adherence to quality, budget, and timeline requirements.
• Develop and execute regional strategies to drive growth and profitability in the land development market.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including preparing proposals, presentations, and negotiations.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance our visibility and reputation.
• Ensure the successful delivery of land development projects from inception to completion.
