Job summary

Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY, seeks a Director of Broadcast Engineering to lead the control room and production infrastructure. You will manage the engineering team, set standards, and align staffing and capital planning with event needs.

Responsibilities include ensuring system reliability, coordinating with Production, IPTV, IT, vendors and union crews, and guiding maintenance and incident response during live events.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of broadcast engineering or comparable live production infrastructure experience.
• Three years supervising technical staff and leading engineering projects or maintenance programs.
• Strong knowledge of SMPTE ST 2110 systems, including PTP, multicast, IP addressing, VLANs, and interfaces between IP and SDI.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams and coordinate event coverage, staff and contractors.
• Maintain reliability of broadcast systems and partner with internal and visiting production teams.
• Oversee installation, commissioning, acceptance testing, and handover of systems and projects.
